The Companion is a forum for the ASAVA to communicate with members and keep them up to date on ASAVA news, special offers and member services. It also provides a free space for members to advertise veterinary positions and vet-related services available all over Australia, in the classifieds section. The Companion contains coverage of social events such as dinners, award nights and conferences, in Australia and overseas. 

The Australian Veterinary Practitioner (AVP) and The Companion reach veterinarians in all parts of Australia. The ASAVA has member veterinarians in every state and major city. The ASAVA has a non-geographical bias and represents the mixed practitioner as well as small animal veterinarians.
